This must be the most Artsy anticafe in the world! And the good news, it’s here in MOntreal! (while other people of the world have to travel to it by plane from New Zealand or Papua New Guinea you can walk to it by foot or take a metro!! )
WHY Anti? Why anti-cafe? (Yes, we have great coffee) BECAUSE – we put idea of a coffee shot as an establishment on its head. Everything is free, we don’t sell you anything and we don’t speed you up to make you free up the space for the next customer. You are a guest in our sacred home. A highly desired guest! You just help to cheap-in to pay the rent, so you pay for the time that you spend inside. 4$ for the first hour, 2$ every hour after, 12$ max per day.
When pay a few $, we will take that money and run out to get you some-
Bread, butter, peanut butter, nuts and raisins, some nutella, jam, good coffee, milk, sugar, some vegies, rice, cookies and some other goodies. We will pay a little bit of rent, a few watts of electricity, a bit of water so you can wash your hands, a few megabites of internet etc. And we will even allocate a few cents towards the decor and art, to make your stay with us “in style” and chic. All of this with just a few bucks that you leave at the door.

The BEST NEWS, it that its the good old anticafe concept. We don’t sell you anything. We give you everything for free, yes! That latte and that capuccino, that herbal tea, sandwiches, nutella, nuts and raisins, veggies, fruits etc – ALL FREE. Only time cost money. You pay hourly rate and we use that money to pay rent, utilities, salaries to administrators and maintenance costs. First hour is just a meer 4$, every hour after is 2$ and 12$ maximum for the day. READ AGAIN – 12$ for the whole day spent in paradize.
